Pelican Cancer Foundation
The Pelican Cancer Foundation focuses on improving precision surgery for bowel cancer, liver cancer, bladder cancer and prostate cancer. Pelican was created to advance the pioneering colorectal surgical work of Professor Bill Heald CBE, Mr Brendan Moran, Mr Merv Rees, and their colleagues in Basingstoke. Pelican’s aim is to discover the most effective treatment for each individual patient – refining treatment options to achieve the best outcomes for patients survival and quality of life. They work to ensure that these advances are applied in cancer care today.
They achieve this with a cycle of activity around seed funding research and then working with clinicians to embed research findings and advances in clinical practice: developing, training and communicating the latest procedures through delivering professional courses for surgeons and cancer teams and leading research into pelvic cancer surgery and treatment.
Create a series of videos that shows what the The Pelican Cancer Foundation does with a focus on research, and how they are working towards curing below the belt cancers to help patients live well, for longer.
We undertook a program of work including an overview film titled ‘Who are we’ – this film showcases the works Pelican is undertaking and the life saving value of donating to fund research. We also created a series of patient story films to widen the information.
“I used RMP Filmmakers to create two marketing films for my business unit. The team are professional, enthusiastic, and willing to go the extra mile to get the footage. It shows my team in the best light and the finished videos are something I am proud to use over and over again”
